I am a grade one teacher in Moose Jaw, SK, Canada who incorporates technology into her classroom to give her students an authentic audience and a portal to the world. I use a wide variety of tools including blogging, Skype, wikis, video and other web 2.0 tools. My students begin blogging the first week of school, creating a personal online portfolio that showcases their learning over the entire school year. My classroom blog includes photos and video of the students learning, many of which have been taken by the students. I have won several awards for the way that I incorporate technology into my classroom, including awards from the International Reading Association and ISTE.
